Mrs.Wren will be unavailable for classes between February 27th and March 13th as she joins a delegation of Bakersfield’s officials including Karen Goh (Mayor of Bakersfield) Olivia Calderon (Mayor of Arvin), Andre Gonzales (Ward 2 Councilman) Regina Pryor (Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra President) on a trip to Bakersfield Sister City Amritsrar, India.

The Bakersfield School of Art and Music (BSA&M) proudly announces the appointments of Vanessa Martinez as Head Vocal Instructor and Strings, and Juliana Marquez as Student Development Coordinator.
Natalie Wren expressed enthusiasm about the new faculty: "The addition of Ms. Martinez and Ms. Marquez is a significant step forward for BSA&M. Their exceptional skills and dedication to music education will greatly benefit our students and the broader school community."

In a delightful fusion of creativity and community spirit, the Bakersfield School of Art and Music has unveiled Bakersfield's first Musical Playground at Murray Farms. This unique installation invites children and families to explore various musical instruments in the refreshing outdoors, promoting both musical exploration and physical play. As a vibrant new addition to the community, the Musical Playground is designed to cultivate an early appreciation for music while providing a fun, interactive experience that enriches the cultural landscape of Bakersfield.
